Yet More Interest
Mattie once again sniffing along. She had a traumatic day today. Five strangers came to the house and went inside. I took her on a walk to get over it.

Aren't I Gorgeous?
Mattie, every once in a while, just poses for a picture. This was one of those times.

Stepping Around
They’d left their soccer ball at the curb. Mattie courteously didn’t punch a hole in it with her teeth.

Mattie Suspicious of Others
Mattie loves meeting other dogs individually. In packs, like they are around here frequently, she gets a bit upset. This is a picture of her in the process of meeting several other dogs (about six) at the park on Saturday. You can see she’s not thrilled. She eventually pulled out her power sitting move.

Mattie gets really close to the walls when she walks. I think it’s because that way she can pick up more scents. She stops and sniffs frequently. Sometimes I have to drag her to get her moving again. And sometimes she comes across another dog behind a gate.

There was a loud noise...
Mattie got distracted by a loud noise and just had to stare. It was the workers taking down some of the market stalls from the market earlier in the day. She watched until something else caught her attention.

Resting by the Rambla
Mattie rests after wading in the river by the Rambla before crossing the street and going home.

We walked to the park today and Mattie was eager to get there. So eager, in fact, that she jumped the barrier to the grass and went right into sniff mode. You can see the sign with the park name on it in the background. The park’s about two to three blocks big and always has a swarm of dogs. It’s also where the local Saturday and Tuesday market is held.
